Mónica Cáceres is a engineer in molecular biotechnology and associate professor of the Faculty of Medicine, Institute of Biomedical Sciences (ICBM) of the Universidad de Chile. Furthermore, she has a PhD in Pharmacology, Universidad de Chile (2011). Cáceres previous research line projects were linked to find cellular defects in gingival repair associated with aging, crosstalk between gingival fibroblast and macrophages in wound healing during aging. Currently is in search for a novel-ageing related marker involved in senescence during wound healing and diseases associated with ionic channels.
